GOALS
New Caledonia has initiated a programme to develop organic farming in the Territory.
It also aims to develop its high quality export channels: vanilla, honey, coffee, sandalwood and niaouli.
In 2018 :

New Caledonia is the third biggest island in the insular Pacific and houses tens of thousands of hectares of exploitable land, only 13% of which is used.
New Caledonia benefits from excellent health security which, coupled with a varied climate makes it ideal for the production of fruit and vegetables as well as cattle breeding.
High performing sectors already exist, but their development, particularly towards exportation, is a major challenge and opportunities are numerous;
