Launch of a hotel complex on the Island of Lifou
After the approval two tax exemptions in 2018, the construction of the Wadra Bay Resort, a hotel project under the Intercontinental luxury brand, started in December 2018.
The project is a cornerstone of the Loyalty Island’s Tourism Development Strategy.
This 50-room hospitality complex will create about 50 jobs and will participate in Lifou’s social and economic development .
The Inauguration of France’s Biggest Solar-powered Station with Storage Facilities
France’s biggest solar power plant with storage facilities was inaugurated in 2019 in New Caledonia, which is particularly well-suited for the development of this renewable energy.
The site produces 30 MW thanks to its 58.000 solar panels.
